Beginner Spanish

Instructor: Laina Balser

This course includes vocabulary for everyday objects and it introduces grammar such as, verbs, nouns, and subject pronouns. Students can learn to read and write as well as to listen and understand basic Spanish.

Intermediate Spanish

Instructor: Laina Balser

Those who have completed basic beginner Spanish are welcome to join the class. We will be using the textbook BARRON'S Spanish Now! Level 1. Students will further enhance their reading, speaking, and writing skills. Learn to conjugate irregular and stem-changing verbs. Feel comfortable asking questions and conversing in simple conversation.

Whether you want to learn German for work or just for fun, this course can allow you to read and write as well as to listen and understand basic German.

Blogging is an exciting way to share your passions, but fear of the technical side prevents many beginners from getting involved. This introduction to blogging mechanics, led by Roberta Laurie, is designed to show digital novices how easy blogging can be. You will learn how to build your blog with WordPress and define its look and feel. It's a fantastic way to master the basics, with plenty of opportunities to share ideas with other beginners in a vibrant, sociable environment.

Sharing Stories, Leaving Legacies

Without a plan, photos, mementos, family stories and the sheer volume of a life well lived can be overwhelming to capture. Learn how to create a planning map and explore methods for organizing and documenting either your story or that of a loved one.

A Taste of Memoir Introductory Workshop

EVERYONE has a story to share. Discover how to capture your story, or help someone else capture their story, into a written format. Learn the difference between documenting a life, writing memoir pieces, and creative non-fiction.

Learn to write using the five senses as well as using moments of stillness found through guided meditation to stimulate your memories and stir your creative juices. Words will simply flow onto your page creating a lasting legacy for you and your family!

No writing or meditation experience is required.

Come and learn how to be still, be calm, and most importantly, to be yourself! (Or maybe you'll find yourself somewhere along the way.)
